Psalms elaborates on the heathen nations as the inheritance of the nation of Israel as well as how we will rule over and judge them for their iniquities.
- Psalm 2:8 Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.
- Psalm 2:9 Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.
- Psalm 2:10 Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.
The sons that afflict are are the heathen nations, in particular the nation of Edom. Bending unto thee is bowing in our presence.
- Isaiah 60:14 The sons also of them that afflicted thee shall come bending unto thee; and all they that despised thee shall bow themselves down at the soles of thy feet; and they shall call thee; The city of the Lord, The Zion of the Holy One of Israel.
