Jeremiah 50:23 | How is the hammer of the whole earth cut asunder and broken! how is Babylon become a desolation among the nations!
The hammer is a reference to Edom, the wicked sword that Yahawah uses to punish the Isralites
Psalms 17:13 | Arise, O LORD, disappoint him, cast him down: deliver my soul from the wicked, which is thy sword:
Isiash prophecies the pride & power of the Edomites (a.ka. hammer of the earth, modern day Babylon), ruling over the other nations, upon the Israelites specifically in the “sides of the north.”
Isaiah 14:13 | For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: 14I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. f the pit; as a carcase trodden under feet.
Esau-Esau sees himself flying high life the eagle, above the clouds like a satellite yet the Most High Yahawah and Yahawashi will bring him down to hell. Hell being a state of perpetual suffering.
Isaiah 14:15 | Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit. 16They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms; 17That made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof; that opened not the house of his prisoners? 18All the kings of the nations, even all of them, lie in glory, every one in his own house.
The “they” is a reference to the other heathen nations looking down upon the Edomites in their soon to be wretched slave state and be astonished that this nation of people once ruled over the Israelites and other heathen nations, terrorizing them with war, missiles, etc. Verse 18, in the Kingdom of Heaven (rulership of the Israelites on earth) the other heathen nations will evenutually be permitted to live in their own glory under the rulership of the Israelites but the Edomites will not and be extinguished pursuant to the prophecy written by Obadiah.
Isaiah 14:19 | But thou art cast out of thy grave like an abominable branch, and as the raiment of those that are slain, thrust through with a sword, that go down to the stones of the pit; as a carcase trodden under feet.
