The woman reference in this scripture is the whore that sits atop the beast is the United States, a key stronghold for the nation of Edom. The fornication is commited through economic, cultural, miltary, religious, governmental, ideological and other exchanges/subservience. Although now the other nations of people are starting to “wake up,” upset with having been fool and beginning to reject the wine.

Jeremiah 51:7 | Babylon hath been a golden cup in the LORD’S hand, that made all the earth drunken: the nations have drunken of her wine; therefore the nations are mad.

Babylon is a reference to the whore, the golden cup with wine is symbolic for the fornication, cultural and ideological in particular.
